Good morning. Other than a few
stock specific headlines, we have little to work with.
There's no major economic reports due out today and we have no significant news to trade from other than speculation of more big government bailouts. Overseas markets are lower, mostly due to yesterday's selloff and commodities remain front and center.
Premarket gainers: ATSI, STV, LDK, OPTV, NCTY, FRPT, SOL, ASGN, OMEX, SHPGY, CY, SWIM, IMCL, ESRX, TBSI, MICC, and DRYS.
Premarket losers: BRLC, CBEY, UNFI, QDEL, MRGE, ETEL, INTU, FRE, FRM, BBY, GAS, and GFIG.
At 1:30PM Dallas Fed Fisher will speak to the Petroleum Club of Fort Worth, Texas. I kind of doubt it will be a market mover, but in this environment just about anything could be. I should also note that there seems to be some hope that we'll see a rotation out of commodities and back into equities (like tech) but we've yet to see that take hold yet. But, it is something to keep an eye on as we navigate this give and take market.
Have a great Friday!
