Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, LLC seems to be having a bumper year with its earnings opening on May 1, new constructions underway and Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, the parent company, was recently added to Fortune magazine’s most admired companies list. Tickermine recently polled 41 locations nationwide and asked how many rooms the hotel has, how many standard rooms were available the night of the survey, the average rate for a standard room, whether this rate would go up, how many luxury rooms the hotel had, their availability and whether the economy has slowed business at all. The numbers of hotel rooms varied from small venues with 85 rooms to larger ones with 1052.

Our researchers found that Wyndham Hotels have an average of 345 rooms. The day of the survey, 7 respondents or 17 % of those polled said there was no vacancy. Twenty two respondents or 54% said they had less than 100 rooms available. Eight or 20% of those polled reported 100-200 rooms being open and 4 or 10% said more than 300 rooms were available. The average rate for a standard room was $152.80, our surveyors found, with 16 or 39% of respondents citing less than $125 as the rate. Twenty two or 54% of respondents cited $126-$200 and one respondent or 2% of those polled cited the following amounts each: $225, $319 and $529. We thought it was interesting that 21 respondents or 51% of those polled thought that these rates would go up next month. Twenty or 49% thought the rates would stay the same. Twenty four respondents or 59% of those surveyed claimed that their hotel had less than 25 luxury suites. Ten or 24% said they had 26 to 50. Four or 10% said they had between 100-125 and 1 person or 2% said they had 599. Fifteen or 37% of those polled said that those suites were sold out that night. 12 or 29% said less than 10 were available. Eight or 20% said 15 to 35 were open and 4 or 10% said between 50-65 rooms. Thirty one people or 76% of those we interviewed thought the economy had no bearing at all on their business. Only 10 or 24% were worried it did.
