The chairman and chief executive of electronic payment processor CyberSource Corp. (NASDAQ: CYBS) sold 12,500 shares of common stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Wednesday, William S. McKiernan reported selling the shares on Monday for $14 apiece. The stock sale was conducted under a prearranged 10b5-1 trading plan which allows a company insider to set up a program in advance for such transactions and proceed with them even if he or she comes into possession of material non-public information.
Information technology consulting company Perficient Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT) said Thursday that its board authorized the repurchase of up to $10 million of its common stock. Perficient said buybacks will be made through open market transactions. The repurchase program runs through 2009. "We believe our stock is undervalued at these levels, and that a buyback is a smart investment for the company," Perficient Chief Executive and Chairman Jack McDonald said in a statement.
