Regeneration Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:RTIX) (RTIX) signed an exclusive 10-year distribution agreement to provide Zimmer Holdings Inc. (NYSE:ZMH) (ZMH) with a new allograft bone paste.
Zimmer, a Warsaw, Ind., surgical products company, and Regeneration Technologies (NASDAQ-NMS:RTIX) , an Alachua, Fla., maker of allograft and xenograft tissue implants, said the paste is used to fill spaces in bones.
Shipments of the paste to Zimmer are expected during the fourth quarter. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Regeneration Technologies (NASDAQ-NMS:RTIX) shares rose 14 cents, or 1.4%, to $9.95 in recent trading, while Zimmer shares rose 57 cents, or 0.6%, to $90.
