The company placed the COW near an existing cell site this week to handle the spike in wireless traffic expected as fans converge on Belmont Park for the 140th running of the Belmont Stakes.
FiberTower Corporation (NASDAQ: FTWR), a wireless backhaul services provider, announced recently that it was named the winner of NXTcomm Eos Award for Excellence in Network Design and Services for Ethernet wireless backhaul. The award will be presented at the second annual NXTcomm conference to be held in Las Vegas from June 16-19. Accedian Networks nominated FiberTower as a candidate in the Wireless/Mobile/Network Services category.
