BioForm Medical Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS:BFRM) (BFRM) said a study showed its Radiesse dermal filler was found to be "significantly more effective" than Restylane.

The San Mateo, Calif., medical aesthetics company said the study concluded that patients preferred Radiesse dermal filler two to one over Restylane.

The company said Restylane is a registered trademark of HA North American Sales AB, a unit of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. (NYSE:MRX) (MRX).
