Ameron International Corporation (NYSE: AMN) today announced the
appointment of Stephen E. Johnson to the position of Senior Vice
President, Secretary & General Counsel, effective immediately. Mr.
Johnson was previously Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of
Computer Sciences Corporation, a Fortune 200 Company. Mr. Johnson
succeeds Javier Solis, who after 26 years of distinguished service at
Ameron announced his retirement. Mr. Johnson will report to James S.
Marlen, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Ameron.
Mr. Marlen stated, “Steve has extensive and
relevant experience in corporate law including mergers and acquisitions,
litigation, contracts and SEC matters, and brings an impressive skill
set to Ameron.”
Prior to joining Computer Sciences Corporation in 1995, Steve had been
with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Johnson
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon,
and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California
Gould School of Law.
