Award Recognizes Entrepreneurial Excellence in Food and Beverage

McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSSR) today
announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Doug Schmick
received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year®
2008 Award in the Food and Beverage category in the Pacific Northwest.
According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding
entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses.
Schmick was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award
was presented at a gala event at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers on
June 13, 2008.
“Entrepreneurial spirit is one of the
foundations of our company and what has driven McCormick & Schmick's
Seafood Restaurants to success and growth over the past 35 years, since
Bill McCormick and I paired up to run our first restaurant in Portland,”
said Schmick. “Being selected as a winner
among so many other great entrepreneurs in our region is a true honor.”
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards celebrate their 22nd
anniversary this year. The program honors entrepreneurs who have
demonstrated exceptionality in such areas as innovation, financial
performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

As a Pacific Northwest award recipient, Schmick is now eligible for
consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008
national program. Award recipients in several national categories, as
well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year
award recipient, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm
Springs, California on November 15, 2008.
