Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRPT) announced that it has received
today a new contract modification under delivery order 6 for the service
and support, including spare parts, of its Mine Resistant Ambush
Protected Vehicles from the Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico,
Virginia under Contract M67854-07-D-5031. Work under the order, which
totals $42.5 million, is expected to be completed by December of 2009
and will be executed through the Company’s
joint venture, Force Dynamics LLC, with General Dynamics Land Systems.
The award was previously announced by the United States Department of
Defense.
