BIG BANK: Bank of America Corp. reports earnings, amid concern its purchase of home lender Countrywide Financial Corp. will add to losses on credit-card and home-equity loans. Impressing investors may be tougher after Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Wells Fargo & Co. reported better-than-expected quarterly results.

Natick's Boston Scientific Inc. reports quarterly financial results.

The Conference Board releases its Index of Leading Indicators.

TUESDAY, JULY 22

SHOW BIZ: The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce holds the second annual Business Showcase, a networking event for small businesses, 8 to 10 a.m., at the Back Bay Events Center, 180 Berkeley St., Boston. For more info visit wwww.bostonchamber.com.

BEIGE BOOK: The Federal Reserve releases its report on economic conditions in various parts of the country.

Local firms Affiliated Managers Group Inc., Cabot Corp., EMC Corp., Genzyme Corp., iParty Corp., iRobot Corp. and Teradyne Inc. post quarterly financial reports.

THURSDAY, JULY 24

SOX LEGENDS: The Legends of Fenway charity dinner, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Boston, features Red Sox veterans Dwight Evans, Fred Lynn and Dennis Eckersley. Tickets to the public event, co-hosted by WRKO radio, are $250 per person; proceeds benefit the Red Sox Foundation.

Massachusetts firms reporting earnings results include PerkinElmer Inc., Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Varian Semiconductor and Zoll Medical Corp.

The National Association of Realtors is expected to report that sales of existing homes fell in June, according to the median estimate of economists polled by Thomson Financial/IFR.
