A much-anticipated shopping center in eastern Henrico County added more tenants to its roster yesterday.

Developers for the Shops at White Oak Village announced 37 tenants, nearly filling the development. While most of the stores announced were new, about 15 had been touted as previous tenants. Deals for those stores have just been finalized, developers said.

New tenants include Bath & Body Works, Anna's Linens, GameStop, Rack Room Shoes and Five Below.

The company had already made public several of the new tenants, including LongHorn Steakhouse, Downtown Locker Room, Kay Jewelers and Great Clips.

Only a few of the smaller spaces remain available, developers said. Although they would not disclose exactly how many spaces remained, they expect the center to be fully leased within a year of its opening, which is scheduled for October.

The 900,000-square-foot center is part of a $158 million development that sits on 136 acres off of Laburnum Avenue and Interstate 64 in eastern Henrico. It is the first major development to go into that part of the county.

"The slowing economy has not impacted the leasing efforts at White Oak, as there is a perceived hole in the market in east Richmond," said Brendan Fisher, development associate for Forest City Enterprises Inc., one of the developers.
