Aug. 5--Department store Kohl's plans a five-day job fair starting Sunday to staff its new store opening in October in Opelika, Ala.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based retailer said Monday it needs to fill about 130 positions at the store in the TigerTown shopping center, which is at the intersection of Interstate 85 and U.S. Highway 280.

Construction on the 68,500-square-foot store began in early March.

The job fair will take place at the Best Western, 1577 South College St., in Auburn, Ala.

Times are:

10:45 a.m. -- 6:15 p.m. Sunday and Monday

12:15 p.m. -- 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12

8:45 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Aug. 13

12:15 p.m. -- 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14

Development of the 130-acre TigerTown began in 2003.

The center's tenants include Target, Home Depot, World Market, Best Buy, Books-A-Million, T.J. Maxx, Old Navy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Petco, Ross Dress for Less, Hibbett Sports, Shoe Department, Kirkland's Home, Kroger, Olive Garden, Logan's Roadhouse, Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings, Quizno's, Moe's Southwest Grill, Marble Slab Creamery and Jersey Mike's.

Kohl's said it will have 1,004 stores open in 48 states by the time the holiday shopping season kicks off in late November.
