UBS announced today six senior hires within its US Equities business.
The new additions are within the sales and trading, equity sales, and
quantitative strategy groups.

The new hires in US Equities at UBS are:

Xiaodong Zhang joins UBS as an
Executive Director and Quantitative Strategist, based in Stamford, CT
and reporting to William Baedke, Global Head of Electronic Volatility
Trading. Zhang has over 10 years of quantitative experience in
algorithmic option trading. He joins from Bear Stearns and, prior to
that, he worked at Merrill Lynch and Helios Futures and Options. He
has also worked as a research fellow and lecturer at the University of
New South Wales. Zhang has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from
Australian National University, an MSc in Biophysics from University
of Science and Technology of China, and a BSc in Theoretical Physics
from University of Def. Technology of China.

Ilya Ustilovsky also joins UBS
as an Executive Director and Quantitative Strategist, based in
Stamford, CT and reporting to William Baedke. Ustilovsky joins from
Goldman Sachs, where he worked for five years developing a number of
high-frequency option trading algorithms. Previously, he worked for
Kiodex, Inc., Courant Institute of Mathematics at NYU, and he was a
Professional Officer in the Signal Corps of the Israeli Army.
Ustilovsky has a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University, an MS in
Mathematics and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science both from Tel
Aviv University.

Sean Grady joins UBS as an
Executive Director and Equity Sales Trader, based in New York, and
reporting to William Ackerman, Head of New York Sales & Trading. Grady
joins from Credit Suisse where he was a Managing Director, having
worked there for 15 years. Grady has a BS in Economics from Villanova
University.

Andre Dore joins UBS as an
Executive Director and Equity Sales Trader, based in Stamford, CT and
reporting to Brian McGinn and Brendan Grady, Co-heads of the Stamford
Sales Trading group. Dore most recently was a Senior Managing Director
and Senior Sales Trader at Bear Stearns, with over 22 years of
experience. Previously, Dore was a professional hockey player for
eight years with the New York Rangers, the St. Louis Blues, and the
Quebec Nordiques.

Nicholas Struk joins as an
Executive Director and Equity Sales Trader, based in Stamford, CT and
reporting to Brian McGinn and Brendan Grady, Co-heads of the Stamford
Sales Trading group. Most recently, he worked at Bear Stearns for 13
years as a Senior Managing Director in Institutional Equity Sales
Trading. Struk has a BS in Economics from Quinnipiac College.

Zach Monsma joins UBS as an
Executive Director in the Equity Sales group, based in New York, and
reporting to Glenn Starkman, Head of US Equities Time Zone
Distribution. Monsma joins UBS from JP Morgan, where he was an
Executive Director in the Institutional Equity Sales group and,
previously, he worked at Lehman Brothers. Monsma graduated from DePauw
University with a BA in Economics and he holds an MBA from the
University of Michigan Business School.
