  Best Buy is pleased to participate in Massachusetts's upcoming sales tax holiday
Aug. 16-17, 2008. As part of the holiday, most purchases made by individuals on items for personal use costing $2,500 or less will not be subject to Massachusetts's sales or use tax. Customers will have a chance to save on all of the latest and greatest technology.
 
Local Best Buy BlueShirts are available for live or taped in-store interviews and can offer:
-- Back-to-school shopping advice
-- Information about the latest technology
-- B-roll or photography

Best Buy Public Relations Department is instituting a "manager-approval" news media policy for newspaper, TV and radio reporters for the sales tax holiday. This policy empowers store managers to approve or decline sales tax holiday news media stories without having to obtain approval from the corporate Best Buy Public Relations department.
