JASPER, Ind., Aug. 12, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- German American Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:GABC) will be presenting at the Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett 13th Annual Community Bank Conference which will be held August 19 and 20 in Chicago, Illinois.

Mark A. Schroeder, President and Chief Executive Officer of German American, together with Bradley M. Rust, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present the Company's business strategy and financial performance at 8:30 a.m. CDT (9:30 a.m. EDT) on Wednesday, August 20.
