Aug. 18--The owner of 1142 Arsenal St. is suing the former operator of a Denny's Restaurant there for unpaid rent.

CNL Net Lease Funding 2003 LLC, Orlando, Fla., filed a state Supreme Court action Thursday at the Jefferson County clerk's office against Family Restaurants of Watertown Inc., Buffalo.

CNL claims Family Restaurants, which closed its Arsenal Street Denny's in April, has not paid rent since and is about $80,000 in arrears. CNL also is asking the Buffalo company to pay the remainder of its 20-year lease, about $4.6 million.
