Remote Monitoring and Management Services Feature Extensive Reporting
That Helps Partners Engage in Consultative Relationships with Their
Customers
New Frontiers Conference – Avnet
Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet,
Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced
a new family of remote monitoring and management services, enabling its
value-added reseller partners to expand their service offerings. As part
of Avnet’s OneTech
Managed Services, the new services feature three levels of support,
including availability monitoring, preventative monitoring and
comprehensive remote management. Partners can leverage the offerings to
increase their services portfolio, enhance their consultative
relationships with customers and create flexible managed services
environments located in the customers’
datacenter or co-location facilities.
“Remote monitoring and management offerings
are a great way for partners to enter the fast growing managed services
market and increase their services revenues,”
said Jack Morris, vice president of services, Avnet Technology
Solutions, Americas. “We developed our new
offerings so partners can quickly add remote monitoring and management
capabilities to their services line-up without capital investment or
additional resources. Our partners will find that managed services
enhance their relationships with customers and provide great
opportunities for incremental projects.”
Avnet’s OneTech Remote Monitoring and
Management Services provide 24x7 monitoring for five critical
components: CPU, memory, disk space, network interfaces and network
unavailability, and alerts for problems. The services are designed to be
flexible and are available for resellers supporting datacenters located
at the customers’ facilities and those that
are outsourced. The three levels of services are:
-
Availability Monitoring: The service provides partners’
customers an entry point into managed services. Features include
alerts sent via email to designated contacts as problems occur, and a
web-interface to view status and self-provisioning devices.
-
Preventative Monitoring: Designed to proactively monitor
hundreds of components and detect problems before they impact
performance and availability, the service provides 24x7 alerting and
antivirus checks.
