Invesco PowerShares to List Four Global Commodity-Producer ETFs on Nasdaq on Sept. 18

CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 09/17/08 -- Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC, a leading provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), announced four new equity ETFs designed to provide access to companies involved in the agriculture, coal, gold and precious metals, and steel sectors will begin trading Sept. 18, 2008, on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

--  PAGG - PowerShares Global Agriculture Portfolio
--  PKOL - PowerShares Global Coal Portfolio
--  PSAU - PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio
--  PSTL - PowerShares Global Steel Portfolio

The PowerShares Global Agriculture Portfolio (PAGG) is based on the NASDAQ OMX Global Agriculture Index(SM). The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in agriculture and farming-related activities. The Index is rebalanced quarterly using a modified market capitalization-weighting methodology.

The PowerShares Global Coal Portfolio (PKOL) is based on the NASDAQ OMX Global Coal Index(SM). The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in the exploration for and mining of coal, and other related activities in the coal industry. The Index is rebalanced quarterly using a modified market capitalization-weighting methodology.

The PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio (PSAU) is based on the NASDAQ OMX Global Gold and Precious Metals Index(SM). The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in mining-related activities for gold and other precious metals. The Index is rebalanced quarterly using a modified market capitalization-weighting methodology.

The PowerShares Global Steel Portfolio (PSTL) is based on the NASDAQ OMX Global Steel Index(SM). The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in the manufacturing and storage of iron and steel products. The Index is rebalanced quarterly using a modified market capitalization-weighting methodology.
