L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that Science Applications
International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) has joined its team of industry
experts as it plans to retain a logistics support contract with the U.S.
Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).
L-3 has successfully supported the Special Operations Forces Support
Activity (SOFSA) as prime contractor for the past 20 years, providing
logistics support for USSOCOM, its component commands, selected
Department of Defense customers and designated government agencies. The
next multi-billion dollar contract is expected to be awarded by the end
of 2008 and would extend the program through 2018.
