"Don' t Agonize, Virtualize!" is the theme of a joint seminar series developed by APC, Dell and Microsoft, aimed at educating enterprises on the benefits of virtualizing data centers.
Virtualization and energy efficiency experts from the three companies will share best practices for implementing virtualization in the enterprise, including the benefits of optimizing core infrastructure, creating the scalable enterprise with server virtualization and implementing a sound physical infrastructure with right-sized power and cooling.
The half-day events will include a tour of a data center with real life solutions to today's high density challenges such as blade server implementations, management applications, and scalable power and cooling architectures.
"Virtualization shouldn't be stressful for data center managers," explained Alistair Pim, APC's vice president of global accounts and strategic alliances. "APC and our partners will make the process painless with best practice recommendations for a scalable, modular physical infrastructure, energy efficient servers and a solid virtualization software platform."
APC and Dell are members in the MTC Alliance Program, comprised of industry leaders in hardware, software and services that provide their resources to Microsoft Technology Centers (MTCs) around the world. MTCs provide technology experts and industry leaders an innovative environment to envision, architect, and demonstrate a secure, customized solution, based on Microsoft and partner technologies.
The event series, which will be staged primarily at eight MTCs in the United States followed by a global program, is also scheduled for the Schneider Electric Technology Center in St. Louis, Missouri and at the Dell Executive Briefing Center in Austin, Texas.
