Significantly Improves Company's Liquidity Position
NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/06/08 -- Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network
infrastructure applications, today announced that it has signed a $15
million line of credit agreement with Silicon Valley Bank, a member company
of SVB Financial Group (NASDAQ: SIVB).
"We have significantly improved our liquidity over the past quarter," said
Bret Johnsen, Mindspeed's chief financial officer. "In addition to this
$15 million line of credit, we completed the sale of certain non-core
patents for $12 million and refinanced $15 million of our convertible debt,
now due in 2013. With these actions, we have substantially completed our
efforts to improve our liquidity, and believe that Mindspeed is in a much
stronger position going into our next fiscal year."
