Company Recognized for Industry-Leading Benefits and Corporate
Citizenship
Sapient Canada, a subsidiary of Sapient Corporation (NASDAQ: SAPE),
today announced that for the second consecutive year it has been
selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers
by MediaCorp Canada, the nation’s largest
publisher of employment guides and periodicals. Sapient was specifically
recognized for its industry leadership, extensive benefits, and
corporate stewardship. This MediaCorp recognition builds on Sapient’s
third consecutive ranking in the Globe and Mail’s
“Best Workplaces in Canada”
list, which is published earlier in the year.
Heralded by various media outlets as “one of
the most prestigious lists in Canadian business,”
“the industry standard,”
“a badge of honour for firms”
and “a catalogue of best practices,”
Canada’s Top 100 Employers list marks the
culmination of a national competition to determine which organizations
lead their industries in offering exceptional workplace environments and
career growth opportunities. The list was unveiled last week in Maclean’s,
Canada’s largest weekly news magazine, and
has also been published in the popular job-search engine Eluta.ca.
Sapient Canada was selected from more than 2,000 companies that were
reviewed as part of this year’s competition.
According to MediaCorp, Sapient’s reasons for
selection include:
-
Industry-leading maternity and adoptive leave “top-up”
payments for new parents of up to 100% for 17 weeks
-
Four weeks paid vacation after only three years on the job
-
Its corporate citizenship efforts, which include completely
redesigning the website for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research,
free of charge
-
Subsidized tuition fees for courses at outside institutions
“We are extremely proud to continue earning
this kind of prestigious recognition for our unique workplace culture,
benefits and values,” said Brad Simms, vice
president, Sapient Canada.
