RSA SecurID®
software tokens for MXI Security’s MXP line
of portable security devices
MXI Security™, the leader in superior managed
portable security solutions, today announced that RSA, The Security
Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC) has certified interoperability between MXI’s
new ACCESS Enterprise™ 3.0 device lifecycle
management software solution and RSA SecurID®
technology. Using ACCESS Enterprise 3.0 from MXI
Security, organizations can now manage strong authentication on their
corporate networks by storing RSA SecurID software token technology
within the MXP family of USB-based portable security devices.
Biometrics, passwords, and RSA SecurID one-time passwords can be
combined to provide three-factor authentication that is portable,
convenient, and easy to deploy.
“We are pleased to be working with MXI
Security to certify interoperability between RSA SecurID technology and
ACCESS Enterprise 3.0, which will help our joint customers assure
identities before they access sensitive corporate resources,”
said D.J. Long, Senior Director, Corporate Development at RSA. “Our
organizations are committed to helping mitigate risk to sensitive
information throughout its lifecycle, ensuring such information is
always an asset and not a liability.”
“A previous version of MXI Security’s
device lifecycle management software had been interoperable with RSA
SecurID two-factor authentication technology for more than a year and we
are pleased that the latest version of ACCESS Enterprise has been newly
certified,” said Lawrence Reusing, CEO of MXI
Security. “ACCESS Enterprise 3.0 meets the
needs of our government and corporate customers looking for an easier
and faster way to seamlessly deploy thousands of portable security
devices across their organizations.”
No other software security company has the capability for one-click
identity provisioning offered by MXI Security’s
ACCESS Enterprise 3.0. It allows organizations the ability to rapidly
issue portable security devices with one-click identity provisioning of
identity credentials, such as RSA SecurID software tokens and digital
certificates, with versatile three-factor authentication options,
including biometrics.
ACCESS Enterprise 3.0 includes a Portable Content Manager that allows IT
administrators to simply drag and drop corporate applications to
pre-load portable security devices with a single sign-on for web forms,
a portable secured Internet browser, remote access clients, and even
virtual desktops. There is no installation of software required on users
PCs.
ACCESS Enterprise 3.0 also offers a comprehensive set of recovery and
help-desk functions. Organizations have the option to destroy secured
data when suspect behaviors occur, such as unsuccessfully authenticating
to the device a number of times, or to set the devices for help desk
data recovery and user rescue.
