RSA Channel Partners to Benefit from Increased Opportunity to Market, Sell and Implement Data Loss Prevention Solutions
BEDFORD, Mass., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- RSA, The Security Division of EMC
(NYSE: EMC), today announced that the RSA(R) Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Suite
will be available through RSA's SecurWorld(TM) Partner Program in early fourth
quarter of 2008. RSA SecurWorld Solutions Partners that complete a
certification and training process will be able to purchase the RSA DLP Suite
through authorized distributors worldwide, resulting in increased
opportunities to offer businesses more comprehensive and effective security
solutions.
RSA is recognized as a key player in the DLP market, and the RSA DLP Suite
is designed to help enable businesses to secure their most sensitive and
critical information. It is engineered to provide unified, seamless data
policy orchestration across the enterprise, allowing customers to discover and
monitor sensitive data and apply the appropriate enforcement mechanisms to
secure sensitive data across the IT stack.
The RSA DLP Suite will give the RSA channel access to an emerging market
with increased opportunities to sell new services. It will allow them to
address the 'data security dilemma' that many organizations face: how to
respond to specific regulatory mandates and pressing issues while laying out a
holistic and sustainable strategy for data loss.
Analyst firms predict that data discovery will be the single fastest
growing segment of the CMF/Data Loss Prevention space moving forward*, and
Solution Partners can sell the RSA DLP Suite to their end customers to help
find and identify sensitive data; prevent that data from 'leaking' outside the
organization; and simplify the management of data security through policy-
driven controls.
'Data Loss Prevention is top of mind for businesses,' said Joel Jensen,
managing consultant at RSA partner, Core BTS. 'Selling the RSA DLP Suite will
allow us to tap into this market, and will be instrumental in helping us help
our customers identify risk, assess where sensitive information resides across
organizations, and protect against data loss.'
Program Elements
The RSA SecurWorld DLP program provides qualified Solution Partners with
tools, resources and support across five areas, including:

www.rsa.com/training.
'Integrating the RSA DLP Suite into the RSA SecurWorld program is another
step in the ongoing process RSA has undertaken to add more value to our
channel partner relationships,' said Bill Taylor, Senior Director, RSA Global
Channels and Alliances. 'We will continue to help the skilled partners who
make investments in our program to uncover and drive more integrated
technology solution sales. Selling DLP solutions gives them access to an
exciting new market and the ability to sell more services, and we're confident
that this will help enable our channel partners to address new areas of their
customers' businesses and profit from cross- and up-sell opportunities.'
Eligible RSA SecurWorld partners are able to begin participation in the
program in October and partners who have successfully completed the program
can procure RSA DLP products from authorized distributors later in Q4 2008.
