MH Alshaya, a retail company operating in the Middle East, has deployed Aldata Gold Central, Shop and Mobile to manage supply chain operations for its new Dean & Deluca franchise.
It is reported that Alshaya, which also operates the Boots, Mothercare and Starbucks Coffee franchises in the Middle East, will open its first Dean & Deluca store in Kuwait before the end of 2008 and additional stores in Dubai and Qatar within a year.
Aldata said that the company and its Gulf Region partner, KOL Corporation FZ-LLC, collaborated to ensure a rapid Aldata Gold implementation so that Alshaya would meet its store opening deadlines.
According to Aldata, offering complete management of central head-office operations, Gold Central enables the control, management and optimization of logistics and commercial flows and facilitates stock level management, pricing, ranges and assortments and replenishment.
Gold Shop reportedly complements Gold Central with back office management, centralized POS management and business reporting for a complete in-store solution.
Gold Mobile is dedicated to mobile shop floor operations such as stock and item checking, store ordering, store receptions and helps to minimize out-of-stocks as well as empowering store associates to spend more time selling, servicing and building relationships with consumers, said Aldata.
