Time Warner Cable today announced that Edward An has joined the company
as Vice President, Legislative Affairs. He reports to Rachel Welch,
Group Vice President, Federal Legislative Affairs, and is based in the
company’s Washington, D.C., public policy
office. An will represent Time Warner Cable before Congress on various
cable and telecommunications issues.
“Ed comes to Time Warner Cable with a
tremendous mix of corporate, government, non-profit and advocacy
experience,” Welch said. “He
knows our company and our business extremely well and will be a critical
representative for Time Warner Cable on Capitol Hill.”
An was most recently Vice President, Global Public Policy for Time
Warner, Inc., where he represented the company and its various business
units before Congress. He joined Time Warner in 2000 from the office of
U.S. Sen. Russell Feingold (D-WI), where he was Legislative Assistant.
Previously, he held positions with the Strategic Alliances Group in
Madison, Wisconsin; Public Voice for Food and Health Policy; Handgun
Control, Inc./Center to Prevent Handgun Violence; and the California
Public Interest Research Group. He is a graduate of the College of
William and Mary.
